Dr. Beer is originally from Cedar Rapids, IA.  He attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry / Molecular Biology, with a minor in Mathematics.  

Dr. Beer did his graduate studies at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, receiving a Doctor of Medicine in 2001.  Following graduation from the University of Iowa, Dr. Beer completed a residency in Family Medicine in Cedar Rapids (Cedar Rapids Medical Education Foundation).
Dr. Beer joined MercyCare Blairs Ferry in August of 2004.

Dr. Beer is married to Janette.  They have two children Meredith (Age 5), and Lydia (Age 10 months).
